Cordoba

Córdoba

These photos are from the Alcazar, which is the palace of the Arab kings.

Here I am under a tree.

  You can see the fish.

This is my ticket to a bullfight. I did not like it. It was cruel.

These next photos are of a group of us going off to Feria in the trajes de gitana, or traditional gypsy costumes. I'm in this carriage.

  Maribel jumping into Mark's carriage.

A traditional flamenco tablao, where dancers and singers all come out to show their stuff.

Maribel lent me her friend's gitana costume to wear. This picture became the cover of the next year's PRESHCO pamphlet!

The gate into the old Jewish ghetto.

Looking back out of the gate.

Me, Maribel and Neal on our couch.

These three photos are all of the Mezquita, Cordoba's mosque. It's famous for having a cathedral built right inside it. I used to go to the plaza, where there were always either orange flowers or oranges, to study and read.

Heading out from the university towards the Mezquita.

This is the famous image that makes it onto so many postcards.

The main plaza, la Plaza de Tendillas.

A group of friends walking to school.

The door of the University (La Facultad de Filosofia y Letras).

The plaza just outside the University's main entrance.

  A University hallway.

  A plaza inside the University.
